Admiring Fabric, Eye Candy

This year, I am loving all the fun patterns appearing on fabrics and in fashion. Thinking some of these would make fun shower curtains, lamp shades, chair covers + pillows!

For now, I'm just dreaming and hoping to inspire you from JoAnn's Online Fabric.

Spring Inspiration from Martha Stewart

Numbered Pots...yesterday was April 16th, and we had snow. I used my Cricut, some vinyl and my Alphalicious Cartridge to make some numbers to cute up my pots.



Stenciling on Burlap...not sure what this will turn into yet!


My sisters and I on my Christmas porch a couple years back...


...I have a good foundation to build on...I also have a bunch of mason jar lanterns that I would like to hang, possibly from a suspended ladder over the table.

Spring Wreath

Gosh, it has been an extra long winter in Minnesota, and I'm having spring fever really bad. I gathered my sticks on Monday, and by Tuesday, the ground is covered in snow, yet again.

This project used supplies I already owned and you might as well. It is inspired by another blog posting I recently saw.

Here is my chair I found at Savers one morning after swimming--only $25, a great shape, but in sad fabric condition.

I decided to try one of those prepacked slipcovers from Kohl's, and even though I was wary, it worked out surprisingly well with the help of my seamstress mother, who reworked the seat cushion to fit snug.

Using a Slipcover is Easy!

New Wall Decor for me!

Here it is so far--I got some keys from the craft store from the scrapbooking aisle (they are flat on the back side), and arranged them into a shape of a heart.

Supplies:
Frame + Matt, already had!
2 Packages of Keys (used 17/20), $7ish dollars
Burlap (it is $4 for a yard-and I only needed a tiny part!)
Hot Glue Gun + Glue

Plaque Attack

Just a wood plaque, modge podge, paint and printing this clever woman's monthly JPEG onto some beautiful scrapbook paper brings some affordable whimsy into my home for v-day!



Thanks to my mother-in-law, my new Cupcake Towel looks perfect with the Cherry Blossom candle and Valentine's plaque.



This plaque has inspired me to format some of my own ideas in Adobe InDesign...
